Allan and Amie’s Humanist Wedding New House Farm
Allan and Amie love the countryside and wanted a venue which enabled them to put their own stamp on things. They chose to hold their humanist wedding at New House Farm, near Lorton.
Their ceremony took place by the pond with all their guests seated on hay bales. Later they hosted their wedding celebrations in the beautiful rustic barn.
An extract from Allan and Amie’s Ceremony:
‘We are very fortunate to be able to celebrate this special occasion in such a beautiful setting, surrounded by Lakeland fells. It reflects Amie and Allan’s love of the outdoors and of the Lake District. Whether you have been here many times before or this is your first visit, I hope you enjoy being in these surroundings in the company of family and friends.’
Allan and Amie’s Feedback:
What made you want a humanist ceremony for your wedding ceremony?
We wanted an informal ceremony and as neither of us are religious, we liked the humanist views on marriage. I found out about humanist ceremonies from a wedding we had been to previously.
What will you remember most from your ceremony?
I personally remember the vows we said to each other as we spent time thinking how we feel towards each other and they meant so much to us.
Any general comments about my service?
The service you provided was excellent, we really wouldn’t have changed anything about it. For me the ceremony was the best part of our whole wedding day.
