David and Matt held their humanist wedding in Yorkshire. They wanted an intimate ceremony and chose the Woodlands House in Settle. Their ceremony was conducted in the hallway where their guests gathered together to witness their personal commitments.

How did you find out about Humanist Ceremonies?
We found out about humanist ceremonies through an article that we had read online whilst looking into how we could celebrate our day without having a religious ceremony.
What did your guests say about your ceremony?
The guests thought that the day was fantastic, they loved how different and how personal the day was.
What will you remember most from your ceremony?
The fact that this was conducted on the stairs in a large country house and in a very informal setting that told our story was perfect.
Any general comments about my service?
It couldn’t have been any better. From when we first met you in Kendal to the run through the day before, we knew that what you were going to deliver was very special. All in all the day really couldn’t have been any better!
