Bob and Cath’s Vow Renewal Ceremony in Kendal
Bob and Cath chose the beautiful Heaves Hotel for their Vow Renewal in Kendal
A little extract from their ceremony…
‘It seems particularly appropriate on this occasion for the Sanderson partnership to break with tradition and for Bob to have the last word!
He has chosen a poem by Ogden Nash called ‘A Word to Husbands’ and it seems to me that its words of counsel are something that Bob learnt some time ago and are on which he bases his approach to married life.
To keep your marriage brimming
With love in the loving cup
Whenever you’re wrong, admit it
Whenever you’re right, shut up’
Some feedback from Bob and Cath:
What made you want a Vow Renewal Ceremony to celebrate your marriage?
We wanted ownership of the ceremony so that it was extremely personal to us to share our thoughts and feelings with friends and relatives.
As we are more mature than when we married we wanted a more relaxed format that was also extremely meaningful and hopefully moving, telling the story of our lives together.
What did your guests say about your ceremony?
All very positive – a lovely ceremony!
My sister said it was the nicest she had ever been to
My mum thought it was wonderful and enjoyed it
Others also said that they’d enjoyed it and asked about the readings
What will you remember most from your ceremony?
Walking down the staircase in my wonderful dress!!
The feeling of happiness engendered on the day
The fact that our guests were attentive because they didn’t know the format or what would happen next
An occasion that we were able to share with so many friends and remember forever, especially as we are not a couple who celebrate birthdays etc in a big way
I will remember the help and support you gave me in the lead up to the day. You were so kind and attentive, giving advice in a gentle manner, it really meant a lot to me.
I feel that you have found your niche in the role of celebrant and hope that your business continues to grow as fast or as slowly as you want it to. I certainly recommend you to anyone I talk to. Thank you so much.
